Website Design Process E-mail

Stages of Design

1. Initial Contract: After you have made the decision to work with the Kayzoe Solutions team, we will send you our contract to review, sign and fax back to us. At this time, we require a 50% deposit to secure your place.

2. Preparation: Here you will complete our web-design questionnaire. We then start planning the layout and structure of your site in consultation with you. We will set you, and any participating members of your team, within our “Project Management” area where we are able to communicate and upload documents. We sketch out a layout, and build from there.

3. Information Gathering: We will send you a 'webdesign checklist' including all of the details we need you to supply to us. From here you will gather necessary information and get your product imagery and pricing, and other relevant information. We will need your webpage copy at this point.

4. Design: We provide you with an initial design concept and up to 3 revisions from this. We work closely with you and your team here to fine-tune the design until you are satisfied. The initial concepts will show the "frame" for the pages which is the basic navigation and design scheme that will remain the same across all of the pages of the site.

5. Coding: Once you have approved the design, we start coding the backend of the website. Once the template is created, we show you a HTML version and you will be given an opportunity to make minor revisions until you are satisfied.

6.  a. Integration for Brochure Sites (Non-CMS): The text and main images for the site are placed into the page template and formatted.

    b. Integration for Ecommerce or Content Management System (CMS) users: This is the stage at which your shopping cart or content management system will be installed and integrated into your site.

7. Final Payment Due: The remaining 50% of your payment is due.

8. Your site goes LIVE!: At this point, your site is ready to go live. If you would like to wait to debut until you have completed stage 9, we will place a “Coming Soon” page up for you.

9. Stocking the shelves and inserting content (ecommerce and CMS sites only): At this point, you are required to upload your product images, include product description and price your products if using an ecommerce cart, and to insert all page information if using a CMS. This is done through the easy-to-use administration area. We will guide you through this process, and will be on hand to answer questions should they arise. If you would like us to stock the shop on your behalf, we are happy to oblige for a fee.
